I’m Kristy and from the first idea, through making, all the way to sending the package, I create ceramics under the brand Zemekus. I work without a potter’s wheel, using hand-building techniques like pinching and slabs. I love detail and devote a lot of time and care to every single piece. And I also draw all kinds of little cuteness on them. Tiny stories and small things that bring a feeling of coziness, home, and put a smile on the face :)

I like to surround myself with things that have a soul, and I believe that in today’s fast-paced world it is important to return to such things. And also that the space created around us tells part of the story of who we are. That’s why what we surround ourselves with matters.

The little things matter. The details matter. The story behind each piece matters.

And Zemekus is a piece of Earth carrying many stories. In Czech, ZEME means Earth and KUS means piece—so literally, a "piece of Earth." But there's another layer: ZE ME means "of me," making it a piece of me, just for YOU.
